1993 Mercury Capri XR2

Red Mercury Capri XR2 with 5 speed manual transmission. Black convertible soft top is in excellent condition. Body and paint are in generally fair condition for a 33 year old vehicle. There are chips in the paint and areas where the clear coat is coming off. There is one noticeable small dent in the front. The upholstery does not have any rips, but it definitely shows it’s age. The dash is cracked and the passenger side map pocket has a crack in it. There is a really nice removable faceplate Alpine AM/FM radio with CD player installed. The car has the typical issues of a 1993 Mercury Capri: it can run hot, the lifters are noisy and it has spongy brakes (very spongy at this point as it has been sitting for a while). It will also need new tires. We have a brand new oil pressure sending unit (that we never installed) and two extra oil filters that will be included. The car has not been driven for many years. The air conditioner worked great when it was parked and the compressor still works, but now there is no refrigerant left.

The top is easy to put up and down manually and it is a super fun car to zip around in. I’ve had a blast with this car and hate to give it up, but I am just not able to maintain it any longer. This car is perfect for collectors or car enthusiasts looking for a unique and fun driving experience.
