1966 Mercury S55

1966 Mercury S55 - Super rare model, like the Monterey or Park Lane but with bucket seats, console and the legendary 428 Super Marauder. 2,916 hardtops were produced, with most being automatic. This one came with the big input shaft Toploader 4 speed manual. Full mechanical refresh done over the last 2 years. New clutch. New tires. Oil pan resealed and rear main seal replaced. Smog delete with new 750 Demon carb, Edelbrock Performer intake, Hooker headers, full new 2.5” exhaust with H pipe and Aerochamber mufflers (all original parts saved). Complete steering/front suspension rebuild, new springs and shocks in the rear. Front disc power brake upgrade with all new rear drum brakes. New fuel tank and lines. Car runs and drives fantastic and does 80 on the highway with one finger on the wheel. Original CA car with black plates, clean CA title with current registration. There is rust under the vinyl top, but the rest of the body and frame are solid. The paint is older and shines up very well, but it has some issues (small chips, cracks, oxidation).
