Hard to find 1980 Mercury Capri. This Fox Body has a 2.3 4-cylinder with a 4-speed manual transmission. Basic car with no factory center console. It is equipped with AC, power steering, and power brakes. The car runs and will drive but needs some tuning still to run 100%. I rebuilt the carburetor, replaced the fuel filter, replaced the spark plugs and plug wires, changed the oil and replaced the hatch lift supports. The interior is clean. Drivers seat has some cracks, but the other seats are excellent and the original dash is uncracked. It even has the original radio. The headliner sags as they all do. The paint is faded and there is some rust behind the left rear wheel and the right front frame rail under the battery (common area and parts to repair are readily available. The floors and shock and strut towers are in good shape from what I could see as is the trunk/spare tire area. This car is a restoration project. Restore and keep as is or swap a Coyote into it. Either way you won't find another one of these easily. I recently purchased this car on impulse because I own several of these already, but due to health reasons I am downsizing excess projects- and I have a lot of projects. I have also been offered a Capri that I previously owned and am getting that back so I need the space. I am selling it as is, where is. It is a restoration project, it is a 43+ year old car. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due immediately upon hitting "buy it now." This is non-negotiable. The remainder of the balance is due within 3 days, in cash. Pick up within 7 days.
