Mercury Capri. ASC McLaren 5.0 Convertible, Serial number 141 of 186 built in 1985, these ASC McLaren Convertible's were only built for 3 years for a total production of 433.

It is a Florida car and has been since first sold, I am the third owner, the mileage is showing on the 5 figure odometer as 13500, probablyneed to add a 1 in front of that, but it is being sold as per Florida law, as mileage exempt.It has the Ford 302 V8 and the Ford AOD auto transmission, as the car is based on the Foxbody Mustangs, spares are not hard to come by.It has been fully repainted (original color) and the seats were rebuilt and recovered. It starts, run's, drives and stops just fine. The roof is in good condition and the car looks great, the carpets are not the greatest but they are still useable. The vehicle is being sold as is where is, no warranties or guarantees given either verbally or in writing.
Talking to a man at a car show. he said " just because they only made them for 3 years and a production run of 433, it doesn't mean it's a rare car and a collectable car" personally I thought that was exactly what it meant. DON'T waste your time or mine, with stupid/crazy offers, only selling because of age/health, and it is an auction plus this is an extremely rare car, when did you last see one? The vehicle as state, starts, runs and drives stops too, do not expect a brand new car it is a 38 year old car, so has it's little quirks and foibles, but it is perfectly fit to drive. If you enjoy working on your cars this will do you fine, if like me your too old or in poor health, this is probably not for you. And for all the people who asked if the A/C works, yes. But if you hadn't noticed it is a convertible. Deposit not returnable.
