1992 Mercury Capri Additional Info:

This is a 92 Mercury Capri that came into my work, but is too solid to part out. Figured as rare as these are someone would want to save it! All I know about it is what I was told, and by looking at it. I have a good title for it, and has been signed off. The person we got it from has had it in his garage for a couple of years, and decided he wasn't ever going to fix it up so it had to go.
It is the non turbo motor, seems to run good. It has a manual transmission, it goes in all gears, but the shifter itself is very sloppy. Brakes do work, but seem weak. The car lot drives, have not taken it on the road. Odometer shows 142,000 miles. It has a small exhaust leak.
Body seems to be pretty solid. Rockers and bottom of doors look good, the whole upper body looks good. Underneath for the most part looks solid, other than a couple of spots. The drivers outer door handle is broken. Both door glasses are stuck down, nothing happens when switches are tried. The top is torn in multiple places, and the plastic back window is broken.
The interior, the key is broken off in the ignition switch, but it does turn on and off with the piece that is in it. The seats are torn. The whole inside is VERY dirty. I think most of it would clean up decent, but it is very very dirty.
Overall, it looks to be a good project for someone into these little cars. It could be on the road with limited work, and is a good car to start with. Bidding starts at $700, with no reserve. Highest bid at end over $700 will buy it!
You are welcome to inspect it in person if you are nearby. It is in Battle Creek Michigan 49037. Pick up or shipping is on you, it is being sold as is where is. It will need to be paid for completely before it leaves here, any money orders, ect must fully clear if not paid cash in person at pick up (Preferred method). $500 non refundable deposit due thru Ebay in 48 hours from end of auction, and paid in full in 7 days unless payment will be cash at pick up. Would like car picked up within 2 weeks unless agreed otherwise due to shipping time issues, ect. Keep in mind the car has been stored inside, but it is now outside as of today, with the top ripped and windows down, so the sooner the better for rain ect.
Any other questions, just ask and I will try to answer. I have tried to describe it as honestly as I can, but there are always questions I hadn't thought of. Thank you for looking, and happy bidding!
