Here is a beautiful and rare 1961 Mercury Meteor up for sale. Fully customized with over 30k invested roughly 13 years ago when built. Today this would cost you a lot more to build this car almost double by todays standards! Still in great shape as it has not been driven too much since completed. Everything on this car was gone through mechanically and cosmetically from top to bottom and was done well! Beautiful looking car runs and drives great. Exterior wise the car has a beautiful lime green satin finish. Paint is in beautiful shape, has two small spots to touch up spots and a small dent right rear lower quarter fender but nothing major. Factory bumpers are in very good condition, grill and chrome trim look excellent. Has custom roof mounted side view mirrors, beautiful stainless trim around doors and windows. All new rubber seals around doors and windows. 20 inch American racing wheels in excellent shape with Nitto tires. Perfect glass windshield no cracks or pitting. Tinted windows all around the vehicle. Reverse flip hood opens super solid and is a great look. Door handles were shaved and the doors now open with a remote control popper. Trunk is also opened via remote popper. Has AVS Hydraulics system that can drop the car on the ground or stand the car up to normal driving height. You can go side to side, front to back, or whatever look your imagination can come up with! Frame was beautifully painted gloss black and highly detailed still looks very good with some minor scratches on the bottom from unavoidable wear and tear.

Interior wise the car looks good. Dash was painted to match exterior. Carpeting in excellent shape with no rips or tears. Power leather seating was pulled from a Ford 2000s era suv and is in good shape. Has a digital dash made by Dakota Digital. This cluster came with all the normal gauges including; water temp, oil pressure, tachometer, speedometer, fuel level and oil pressure. Has AVS air ride suspension management system with nine switch controller and a digital management display. Has aluminum door panels with custom embossing. Chrome door handles and window roll ups in excellent shape. All four window roll up and down as they should and vent wing windows open as they should. Headliner is bare metal finish it as you like.

Mechanically the car runs and drives great. The car was highly detailed underneath and could be detailed and easily polished up if desired. Has a fully rebuilt Cleveland 351 stroked and bored to 409 cubic inches with approximately 4500 miles. Has a new C6 SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic transmission installed when the car was refinished. Has a Ford 9-in rear end. Has power steering and power brakes, aluminum radiator with electronic fan and dual exhaust. Edelbrock street performer intake and new carb. Has Headman headers and a nice sounding dual exhaust. Has a chrome master cylinder and chrome brake booster and alternator. Firewall was painted in gloss lime as well as upper control arms. Has Bilstein suspension components all around. 20" Inch American racing wheels still look excellent and are wrapped by Nitro Extreme low profile Tires. The car received a new wiring harness when it was built as well. Very clean and well done all around the car. Trunk compartment was sprayed with a textured black coating then the hydraulic system was installed including two air pumps left and right as well as large air tank. Has brand new interstate battery and custom aluminum battery box.
