We are Euclid Car Co at 1240 E. 286th St., Euclid, OH 44132, Fax No. 216-417-5301. Thank you for looking at our vehicle. You will need a Paypal account to bid. Our hours of operation and pickup times are Mon - Fri from 10AM to 4:30PM.Please do not message us through eBay, only by our phone number. We do not read texts. Phone calls only. If for some reason we don't answer the phone, leave a message and we promise to call you back as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the vehicle, call Stan at 216-598-7011. If you win the vehicle, please send a $500 non-refundable deposit to our Paypal account within 12 hours. Full payment due in 3 days. eBay is letting anybody bid, regardless of your past history. If you as a buyer have not bought at least 3 items in the last 3 months, you need to call us before you bid or your bid will be immediately removed.
We are trying to be fair to all buyers and we do not want non paying bidders bidding up cars that an honest person wants to buy, and being bid up by a person who is playing a game with our account and thousands of other accounts in this country. We want to be fair and square to all real potential bidders. Non paying buyers will be reported to eBay. We hope not to have any. Balance is to be paid by check, cash or wire transfer only. Please send us your name, phone number and address directly through eBay so we can work out the paperwork and delivery after deposit has been made. We charge $150 for paperwork, which is the doc fee and title transfer and 45 day tags are available for $25.
We sell all cars as-is, which means the buyer is responsible for any and all repairs, according to the Ohio Buyer’s Guide (includes body, mechanical, frame and interior). We do our best to describe all vehicles as accurately as possible, but keep in mind that opinions may differ and that it’s the buyer’s responsibility to inspect the car before bidding. We advise all bidders to get a third party to check out the vehicle if they can’t make it out themselves to ensure their complete satisfaction. The reason all deposits are non-refundable is because when someone bids, that means they are 100% satisfied with this vehicle. They have either seen the car, sent out a third party, or are willing to accept the car with my pictures and my word, which may not be the same as theirs. Please don’t come out and re-check the car, see if your family member likes it, then decide you don’t want it, because then your $500 deposit will be gone. The trust I’m giving all buyers to 100% check the car out before the auction is the way this auction is being run. This must be done before bidding. When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all attributes of the car.
If the car starts and runs onto the truck, but it does not start at arrival, that is the buyer’s responsibility (cars may be damaged on a long, bouncy trip). Once the car is paid for, all buyers should put insurance on the vehicle because they now own it. We will work with your shipper or you can call Mike, our shipper, for a rate at 781-763-7447 Ext. 208. We leave all buyers positive feedback. All sales are final. All deposits are non-refundable, so please make sure you know exactly what you're buying before you bid. Our shipper will get the car to you within 4 days to 2 weeks at a fair price. If you'd like to call him for a price, that would be fine.
All cars left on our lot after 30 days will be charged $18 a day and we hope we never have to collect a dime. But we don't have enough space to store everyone's cars after they're paid for. It's the buyer's responsibility to pick up their car that they just purchased. Please remember we are on the buyer's side. Please only bid if you are a real bidder who wants to purchase the vehicle, and again, if you haven't purchased 3 items over the last 3 months we will remove your bid. If you're a zero bidder and you bid at the last second just before the auction ends, the vehicle will be offered to the bidder before you and you will not end up with the vehicle, so you need to call us.
We're offering for sale a rare 1970 Mercury Grand Marquis Convertible with only 30K actual miles. The car has a 429 engine with automatic transmission, power top, and power windows. Everything works. It has a factory AM radio that works fine. The car looks exactly the same as it does in all the pictures and in person. The underneath of the vehicle is solid. The motor compartment, as you can see, is really solid and the trunk is as solid as can be, as well. It will need a new convertible top, being that the one that's on it is original. We decided not to put one on because we didn't know what color the new owner wanted.
This car came from out west to the Ohio area in the early 80s. The man that purchased the car rarely ever drove it and definitely never used it in the winter. He passed away and sold it to a gentleman that I bought it from, who was his friend. The car starts and drives beautifully down the road. The muffler has a little rumble to it. I don't know if its supposed to be loud or not, but it sounds really good. The chrome on the car, for being 50 years old, looks really good. There are a few touchups on the car, so please don't expect a perfect car that just came out of the showroom, because it's not. It's an original survivor that looks really good inside and out. There's a little box in the trunk that I show in the pictures with a few extra parts and the original rear view mirror. I forgot to put it on before I took the pictures, but it does come with the car.
If you're looking to put your whole family in a nice, comfortable car that's quick, safe, and will definitely get a lot of looks, this car may work out really well for you. Even in 1970 when the car was brand new, there were very few of these around. It's a model up from an LTD convertible. That's why when you look at the interior you see all the engraving on the door panels and the wood grain on the dash. The gas gauge isn't the most accurate, so the best thing to do is refill it every 200 miles. The gentleman that sold me the car told me it could be a sending unit, but we never looked into getting it fixed because it's a minor detail. Today's the best day to buy a convertible, because you get to use it for the rest of the summer. If you can, please stop by and check it out. Just fly in and drive it home.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!
