1951 Mercury Convertible Custom Additional Info:
1951 Mercury Convertible Custom Only 689 miles since build completion 400hp LS1 V8 Engine w/Aluminum Block 400hp, 700 R4 transmission Black with Custom Yellow Flames Brown Leather interior Level AccuAir Ride suspension Shaved door handles Custom center console Custom dash with painted flames Painted spider web glove box Pioneer head unit with CD/AM/FM radio Custom steering wheel Wide Whitewall Coker Classic tires Chrome dual exhaust tips Chrome front & rear bumpers Custom painted engine cover with flames SoCal instrument gauges Removable Carson top Mooneyes foot pedals Custom integrated audio system We are pleased to offer this outrageous custom '51 Merc convertible, showing off what is undeniably one of the sickest flame jobs we've ever seen. Said flames lie on deep black paint which contrasts tailored Caramel upholstery, and an integrated '56 Dodge Coronet split grille with A-cup--sized Dagmars is executed to perfection. Full chrome bumpers, polished side moldings, dual rearview mirrors and shaved door handles are tastefully understated. '57 Cadillac wheel covers with bullet caps up front and chromed steelies with bullet caps out back, along with crisp wide whites finish this Merc's curb presence to perfection. An Accuair air ride suspension assures the right dropped-into-the-weeds stance for the weekend cruise-in, and proper pin stripe work on the hood, trunk lid and glove box, along with a flame-covered dash are a nice added touch. You can completely change the look with the Black vinyl covered removable Carson top.Power is provided by a fuel injected aluminum LS1 V8, backed by a column-shift 700R4 automatic, and a dual exhaust system with fat chrome extensions peek out from beneath the rear bumper. Also featured is stainless GM tilt steering column along with a modified Merc steering wheel (girlie suicide knob included). A custom console, upholstered dash with SoCal instrumentation, Mooneyes gas pedal, integrated audio system, and contrasting black seat piping round out the interior. A topless Merc is a rare find to be sure, and this Killer Kustom sled is one not to be missed. Additional Information: Last owner purchased from Ted's Rod Shop in CA (2003) A Killer Mercury!!!
