1948 Mercury Eight Coupe old school hot rod. This is a driver that looks like a show car. If this doesn't take you back to the 50's nothing will. When was the last time you saw one of these on the road. Stored inside year round. Same owner for 30 plus years .
Updated Mercury 239 FLATHEAD V8 engine and 3 SPEED manual transmission with shifter on the column.
Some say the Mercury and Ford were the same. They are in a lot of ways and do share many of the same parts, but own a Mercury and you'll see the differences, especially the next time you pull up to the same year Ford coupe.
Built using all vintage Mercury parts.

Motor City Flatheads rebuilt engine in 1997 ($5,000)
ISKY 3/4 race cam and lifters - duration 270 degrees, nice rump at idle
