FAIR LOW RESERVE ...bid on it to win !
Who remembers the late 70s and when station wagons
where the Soccer Moms Go-to vehicle. Now they are a sign
of a better time for most people. They are getting so
much harder to find, esp this rust free and complete.
Go factory or with some resto-mod style, you cant lose either way.
We suggest viewing our auction on normal large monitors
and or tablet to get the most out of our large easy to view pics.
Desert Survivor being sold by a very legit Ebay seller

on the cars we have sold here over the last 10 yrs, then you also
shouldnt be bidding on our auctions. Ebay offers our Feedback rating

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This is a cool blast from the past, aprox 40 yrs ago past. This wagon
was parked about 10 yrs ago, mostly due to the fact it wasnt needed.
So the family let it sit barely ever driving it. In the glovebox is a stack
full of paperwork, everything from repair reciepts, to old emissions papers
to some OEM Ford paperwork and manuals. Even an old paper map.
Tires are old and mismatched. To keep things simple and figuring that if any
gas was in the tank, it would be bad, we decided to run the fuel pump directly
to a small container of fresh gas under the hood. We poured a little gas down
the carb, and it fired right up and idled. For about the first 5 minutes it smoked
from the exhaust, but the more we run it, the less smoke we get.
It may need rings and or valve seals, but too hard to say just yet.
The motor doent knock. We topped off the water, brake - trans and ps fluid
next and took it on a trip out of our yard and up and down the street. For
a car thats been sitting so long, it ran pretty well. Brakes work fine too. I
turned on the AC for fun, and blew cold for about 1 minute, and then it went
warm. About rest of the car, there is NOT ROT under this car and the body
is in pretty amazing shape. Its had from what I can tell paint repair on the
dr side behind the rear door many yrs ago. Nothing major, but that area is
showing cracks. Bone stock under the hood, no mods is also another really
nice feature of this car. Even the muffler looks original. Mileage shows just
about 60k on it, and it could be original, but cant verify.
We all know that Wagons from the 70s values are on the rise.
DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND
BUILD ANYWAY YOU WANT, NO HARM NO FOUL !
Excellent Investment / Clean Clear Arizona Title
apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: I wont end it early, sorry.
DRIVETRAIN: the original 400 V8 2v starts with the key and
runs decent for sitting so long. Again, its smoking some out the
exhaust, but that may clear up over time, not sure. The auto trans
shifts fine with no issues forward and reverse. Lots of factory Ford
yellow markings are still on this car under the hood and elsewhere.
PD Brakes up front w/ 11" rotors with wide HD drum brakes in the rear
and they work fine. PS works well too. DR side hood hinge is toast and
or bent making it hard to open & close the hood.
INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, Az heat has taken its toll on
alot of it, but in some areas its not bad. The front was redone in a
nicer cloth material several yrs back but faded. The middle fold down
seat looks okay in the pics, but the vinyl is pretty hard. Door panels not too bad,
but in fair shape. Carpet and headliner are okay for a daily.Overall it will need some restoration, but all the glass is good, EXCEPT the right side most rear window. All the doors work fine. The Power rear tailgate glass
tries to move up and down, but only moves about an inch either way when
you use the switch on the dash. It could just be super dry.
Because I cant
get the window down, Ive not been able to open the tailgate.
Remember it sat for 10+ yrs. and has been
in the AZ heat for yrs.
EXTERIOR:the body very straight for its age, but this is a 95%
rust FREE survivor. Original sheetmetal the best I can tell from
1974. The Green is the original color with most of it could still be
original. The one area on the just above the LR tire was repaired
many yrs ago with paint too. 2 pieces of stainless side trim are missing.
Couldnt find any rust of rot on the body or under the car, thanks
to the Az desert environment its been in. Small dent far most LR
quarter panel by the bumper. Chrome and roof rack in really nice shape.
Yes, the hood hinge or hinges I believe are tweaked.
SUSPENSION:the suspension looks normal from what I can
make out, basically the way it came out of the factory except
some stuff replaced over the yrs from normal wear n tear.
Sits okay too. Tires old and suck.
No wacky mods and surface rust at best. Makes coming apart a breeze.
Minimal if any rust under the car !!
Check out ALL the pics below ----->
it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
