1967 Mercury Cougar Additional Info:
A really nice original 1967 Mercury Cougar. I bought the car more than 2 years ago and have put less than 300 miles on it. The short block motor has less than 1.000 miles on it.
It runs, drives and handles as well as a new one.
I have put on new shocks, new water pump. new digital turn signal apparatus (the best), turn signal switch, brake light switch, new heater core, brake work to include master cylinder and all 4 wheel cylinders. And more.
It needs the front seats reupholstered, Door panels need work. New headliner as there is a 4 or 5 inch hole above the passenger sunvisor. (Gorilla tape works). And the usual minor repairs of a 51 year old car. There is rust popping out in the lower rear quarter panels and behind the right front wheel wheel.
The paint is original and it's a good 20 footer.
I am selling 50% of my classic cars to include this 1967 Mercury Cougar, a 1948 Plymouth 4 door and a restored 1985 El Camino. My wife of 50 years has put her foot down and she may be correct. I have too damn many cars.
The "NADA" Guide for values, prices this car at $9,000 to $17,000. And HAGERTY at $14,600.
The $7,800 is far less than similar 67 Cougars found on the misc classic car sites.
The Cougar is of course also listed locally.
Title in hand. And I of course DO NOT need any help selling the car.
