1966 Mercury Comet Additional Info:
Don't know very much about this 1966 Comet wagon. It's been sitting since the early seventies. I got it as a trade from somebody that lost storage. It is 302 v8 with automatic, power steering and brakes, and power rear window. It's a nine passenger.
It hasnew spark plugs and spark plug wires, new fuel pump which is hooked up to a can. It starts up easy and runs good. The transmission hesitates a little, maybe from sittingso long. Maybe a tuneup and filter will help, or just go to the wrecking yard and buy a C4 with overdrive AOD for $99 with warranty.
It's a California car with a lot of patina, definitely needs paint. Interior is dry, needs to be redone. The nine passenger extra seat is there. Tailgate has some rust on the outer skin, but there is another tailgate to go with.
There is a new master cylinder. The brakes and the steering feel fine. It's a good solid california car, with good solid fenders, doors, and rockers. The floorhas a hole close to the gas pedal, it's the size of a quarter. Bu, still rock solid.
All the glass is good. As I mentioned, it runs, drives, steers, and brakes, so that I can move it in the yard. The car is in Los Angeles, close to the shipping terminals. I am not able to arrange any shipping. If you are a overseas bidder, I can work with your agent or forwarder.

Engine is a 289. My Mistake. You can see this in the engine picture on the air cleaner, but just wanted to clarify.
