1969 Mercury Marauder X100 Additional Info:
1969 Mercury Marauder X100 429 V-8 with Bucket Seats***Please look through all the pics. I will be uploading current pics later today. Currently the hood is removed. Interior removed. Read full ad for all the details. The first set of pics are only to show what the original interior looked like and the condition of the car when I purchased it 3 years ago from the junkyard. Remember the pics without the interior is how the car looks now. I want to be very clear so you know what you are bidding on.
The X-100 version of the Marauder left the assembly line a mere 5,635 times in 1969. Another 2,646 were built in 1970. I haven't found any production figures on how many were offered in bucket seats/center console but they don't show up often.
Very solid Rust-free Arizona car. Located in Phoenix, AZ. This is the very rare bucket seat model with center console (i do not have th U shape shifter). Factory 429cu V-8. I have never tried to start this car. I intended to do a full rebuild or installing my Viper V-10. I doubt the 429 is going to fire right up after years of sitting.
I started on the restoration and cleaned up the car after it had been sitting in a wrecking yard for ten years. There is some bondo from minor damage to the driver's side rear fender. No major damage. I also purchased another front bumper that will be included. No rust underneath, trunk, floorboards. All glass intact.
Most of the interior is missing because the guy I hired to redo my interior 3 years ago took the panels and has never been heard from again. Door panels, back seats, and top of dash are missing. I did include a picture of the car when I bought so you can see the factory interior color, white/black with tan carpeting I do have new carpeting but I bought new black carpet because I like the look better. Please note I DO NOT have those interior pieces anymore.
Car will come with-extra front bumper (used but no damage)-all 4 Kelsey Hayes Magstar wheels and tires-bucket seats (badly worn from being outside)-fender skirts-brand new Essex carpet in black w/ extra carpeting for lower part of door panels (still in box)-misc. pieces that are not shown include, speedometer/interior trim pieces/ window switches**i have a hood but is badly dented and has a large bend on the corner. Will include the hood if wanted**I also have a set of 2003 Marauder 18 wheels/tires that are the same bolt pattern but require spacers to fit properly. These are NOT included with the sale so please ask separately for those.**I had considered putting my Viper V-10 in this car. If anyone is interested in that, please contact me. I have a zero mile crate motor that I would consider selling separately. Again, NOT included in this auction
Please message me here on eBay or call/text with any questions for for more pictures. Auction is no reserve to the highest bidder. I have started the bid for less money than it cost to buy Kelsey Hayes wheels on eBay. 602 710-3419
To offer a higher-performance version of the Marauder, Mercury introduced the Marauder X-100. While nearly all features of the X-100 were cosmetic, the Marauder X-100 offered a choice of Twin Comfort Lounge seats, Bench Seat or Bucket Seats with a floor console housing a U-shapedautomatic transmissionshift handle. The X-100 also featured Kelsey-Hayes road wheels along with rearfender skirts. The Marauder X-100 was only equipped with the 360hp (268kW; 365PS)429cuin (7.0L)engine with a 3-speedFMXautomatic as an option. The only transmission available with the 429 was the 3-speedFord C6automatic.
