1963 Mercury Comet Custom Additional Info:
You are bidding on my 1963 Comet Custom. I purchased it off a mechanic in NJ who lost his shop. I have replaced the points, condenser and fuel pump. The brakes were worked on before I got the car, and work fine. Mileage appears to be original, there is even a yearly inspection sticker from 1972 in the windshield. I pulled the engine and did a full head and valvetrain cleaning. I also set up the Offenhauser 3-carb setup for this engine. currently the outboards are dummied into position, they need some setting up. Running on the single carb, its not quite a drag racer, but the dual glasspack exhaust has a nice sound. the car is not perfect, there is a few pinholes on the driver's door and under the battery tray (see photo) but this is a real complete and almost rust-free car. you could potter around town with it as is, or use it as a great canvas for a project. Its currently registered in VT, which does not title. I will provide a notarized bill of sale as well as the vehicle's registration, please check with your DMV to make sure this works for you.I am asking for 6700 but am reasonably flexible; worst thing I can say is no.You MUST, MUST contact me via eBay with your contact information BEFORE you offer or purchase. You have to understand that "oops, is was somebody else who bought on my account" or "I checked and I don't really have the money" doesn't pay my listing fees or deal with the waste of time and effort.$500 NONREFUNDABLE deposit due within 48 hours, the complete agreed upon amount before you get keys and papers.Thank you for looking
