1946 Mercury M69 Additional Info:
The Merc came from the state of Washington 4 years ago. It was frame off restored about 2000. Frame is still black. Paint is showing it's age, Flathead was rebuilt by a shop that knew how to build this style engine. Was bored and got new pistons. Runs very good and stays cool. Has dual exhaust. Clutch works good. 3 speed on the column shifts good. New gaskets around windows, door jams and trunk. New heater core, new center of dash now metal, new glove box. I have the original radio and new speaker. Car had a lot of misc new small parts when redone. Drives like a 46 Mercury should, stops like a 46 Mercury. Steering wheel very nice. I drove the car about 200 miles with no problems. Starts good hot. Converted to 12 volts. Has turn signals. Body is very solid. Clear title. I'm starting the auction at the lowest price I can take for the car. I am hoping it will bring more but we'll see. It's a good old car to start with that I think should be dependable to drive. I will post a buy it now if I get a good offer. The VIN on the Merc was issued from the state of Washington. There is a plate on the frame that matches the title. Car is sitting in storage in Kelliher Minnesota. Zipcode 56650 for location. That is where car will be picked up. It will be in running order. If interested ask questions.

I made a video of the Mercury running but couldn't upload it to You-Tube. What your going to watch is a recording of the video off my computer screen being recorded with my phone. Looks sort of vintage that way. You'll see moisture coming out of the exhaust as it was 47 degrees yesterday when I did the video. Engine does not smoke. Also the engine sounds loud under the hood. When you do a video it always seems to sound loud. It actaully is very quite. When warmed up you can hardly hear this old flathead run. Keep asking questions. Yes this is a no reserve auction so high bidder will win the Mercury. Click on link to watch it start and run.https://youtu.be/g9_y667CBw0
