For sale is this 1969 Cougar Eliminator with the factory Sunroof option. Brief history of this particular option: When Eliminator production began, the first 101 cars produced were optioned with the sunroof. 100 of these cars were ordered by Hertz Rent-A-Car as a new set of “Rent-A-Racers”. Of these 101 cars produced, 25 have been officially accounted for by Cougar Club of America. 1 car has been destroyed. This car for sale is 1 of 2 White with Blue Interior option Sunroof cars known to exist. According to authoritative sources within CCOA, this car’s April 2, 1969 Build Date is the earliest known production date for an Eliminator. This is not the lowest VIN Eliminator on record, however, it’s well known that cars were not necessarily built in order of VIN.
This car as shown has been assembled for display. Car will require complete restoration. It has been in dry storage for the last 20 years. It was involved in a minor collision that resulted in front sheet metal and radiator support damage. Replacement parts for all damaged areas are included with the car.
