EXCEPTIONAL, ORIGINAL 1994 COUGAR XR-7!
Excellent White Paint With White Landau Top.
In Incredible Condition, Just Recently Turned over 100,000 Miles!
This car is all original and is probably the nicest 21 year old 1994 Mercury Cougar XR-7 you have ever seen!
She should run another 100,000 miles with regular maintenance.
This automobile came from an era where 'cars were really cars' and American car makers took pride in their vehicles.
She is beautiful, drives like a dream, tracks straight and true, and turns heads where ever I go in her.
She has every option offered in 1994, including;
4.6 Liter V-8 SOHC FI Engine
Alloy Wheels
Automatic Cruise Control
Automatic Climate Control
Automatic On/Off Headlights
AM/FM Stereo System With Cassette
10 CD Disc Changer
Keyless Entry System
Leather Seating
Power Door Locks
Power Driver AND Front Passenger Seats
Power Large Moon Roof
Traction Control
The car has just been completely 'gone over' by one of the best auto technicians in The Keys. You can talk with him about the condition of the vehicle. No rust anywhere, body and original paint in excellent condition. She also has:
Brand new Ironman Touring Pro 98S tires. (it was difficult finding 'whitewalls' today!)
New brakes, front and rear.
New wheel alignment and toe-in reset.
New belts, power steering pump, pads, rotors and sensors.
Transmission flush and new filters.
The truth is that I have no real use for her. I live on a tiny island (Key West) where the highest speed limit on the island is 35 mph. She runs great around town, but this car shines on the highway or expressways! She is solid, steady, comfortable and safe with all the power needed to handle any and all high speed situations.
I sort of 'inherited' the car. It literally did belong to a single lady driver. It is obvious because the driver's seat shows a little wear, but the rest of the gray leather seats look as if they have never been 'sat on'.
The only flaws in the car are that little wear I mentioned on the driver's seat and two small spots on the landau roof (NOT RUST). I have included close up photos of those areas. I did not have them repaired as the car is original and a buyer may want to keep the car truly 'original'.
I don't know what the car is worth. I have started the bidding at $6,000 simply because if it does not sell for more than that, I will just keep her. I love driving her, but don't have the time or opportunity to drive her much. She needs to be DRIVEN and enjoyed by someone who appreciates American cars that were once the finest automobiles in the world.
Take a look at the pictures. I will also try to answer any questions that may come up. She has a clean car fax and has NEVER been damaged. She is truly unique and a pleasure to own.
(BTW, she would also make a great 'first car' for a young driver. The passenger area of the car is a solid steel 'cage' and she provides tremendous protection and insulation were there to be a crash or accident. Plus, she is gorgeous, unusual and turns heads everywhere she goes!)
Thanks for your time reading this long description. I love the car and hope she finds the right new home!
