1967 Mercury Cougar Additional Info:
One of the most original 67 Standard Cougar you will find anymore. I purchased this locally from a lady who had owned it since 1974. Always garaged when not in use. Has a mere 129K on it. The car sat in storage for about 5 years. We've cleaned it up, did a light buffing. Flushed fuel system and replaced the carb with a nice Holley (had an Edlebrock). Installed new master cylinder, rebuilt distribution block andflushed brake system. Replaced upper ball joints. Replaced heater core and installed heater seal kit. Installed 68 styled steel wheels with BFG radials. Just replaced drivers side door hinge bushings and window regulator. The car still has all it's original exterior paint and interior. The paint is shiny but isworn in places. Lots of small parking lock dings down the door and a couple on the trunk and hood. The car runs and drives nice. Has some very small rust started behind the rear wheels. Everything else is totally rust free. The drivers trunk floor around the rubber plug has surface rust around the hole. We did a light repair to the passenger side trunk floor as there were a couple very small holes. Nothing cut or welded as it was too small. The previous owner said the engine had been rebuilt but was not sure when. This is an excellent car you can get in and drive. You can leave it as is or someday restore it back to it's original glory, although they are only this original once. I would love to keep it but other projects need to get finished.
I can assist in arranging shipping. There is a local company I have used in the past who is very close to my location. Open multicar trailer however. For a more secure transport I recommend enclosed trailers.
