1993 Mercury Cougar XR7 One Owner Since New Well Maintained Documentation From New 73,264 Miles VIN: 1MEPM6243PH667158 CALL TODAY 773-303-6122 WE SHIP WORLDWIDE! OFFERS WELCOME! Evolve Motors & Chicago Car Club are pleased to present this 1993 Mercury Cougar XR7! We purchased this car from the original owner, who had purchased it new while living in Arizona. The car has been driven and serviced routinely ever since. As it sits, this car is ready for daily duty. The car is in need of nothing. The car will come with the original window sticker, as well as many, many receipts from routine maintenance throughout the years. Exterior: Electric red is a nice-looking color and presents nicely. There are chips and scuffs on the front bumper, as well as a blemish on the passenger side of the roof, but other than that the car is in very nice shape. The body is nice and straight, and all chrome and rubber trim is in very nice shape. All glass is clear and crack free, and doors open and close without a fuss. Wheels are in excellent shape, with no curb rash or damage. Interior: Grey interior is in nice shape. Seats are very comfortable. Driver’s seat bolster shows some wear on the outside, centers are very nice. Carpets are in good shape throughout. Backseat is excellent. All powered systems are functional: Air conditioning (blows cold), heat, radio, automatic seatbelts, power windows, power mirrors, powered drivers seat, defrosters, cruise control, and power locks. Under the Hood / Underbody: This Cougar is the XR7 model, so it comes equipped with a supercharged 3.8L V6. The supercharged V6 of the XR7 puts out 210hp, a significant bump over the Cougar base model’s 140hp. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The XR7 was loaded with performance-enhancing bits over the base model; standard features included four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and electronically adjustable sport suspension. This car has been meticulously maintained since new. The car will come with dozens and dozens of dealer receipts dating back to when the car was new. Maintenance documentation is extensive, every service down to replacement wiper blades is backed up with a receipt. The car is in great shape underneath, as one would expect from a car that has spent much of its life in Arizona. There is absolutely no rust of any concern, floors and frame rails are in excellent shape. On the road, the car feels very good. Suspension is soft and eats up potholes and speedbumps without hesitation. Power is more-than-sufficient, and the brakes reel the car in nicely. The car tracks straight both under acceleration and under braking. There are no noises or tendencies of any concern whatsoever. This car is a practical, affordable, reliable, and well-kept example that would make for the perfect daily driver. It’s nice and well maintained enough to be enjoyable to drive, but not so nice that you need to stress about street-parking it.
