1963 Mercury Comet Additional Info:

This is a 1963 comet gasser project

Body is clean and rust free except for surface patina type rust that could be sanded clean in 10 minutes or clear coated over. Car comes with a 351 Windsor motor. I was told by previous owner that it is a strong running motor with no issues. I cannot confirm this as I did not get as far as installing it. Took valve covers off and everything this looks good and the oil is clean. Motor is complete from carb to pan. Car comes with all original chrome in good shape, wo racing seat, nd many more small parts. Car has been lightened by drilling holes is non-structure areas of the car, his was a 60's trick to lesson the weight for speed. All glass, rame, ash and headliner are in good condition. Comets are the same platform as ford falcons and speedway motors sells a complete straight axle setup for it. This is a very solid straight car and a fairly east project.

The car has a fuel cell and battery box moved to the trunk, t also comes with a straight axle that came with it when I bought it. The original front chrome bumper is included in very good condition.
