“EMERALD JEWEL”
Built By Don Blake
Gene Winfield award at Lead East an unprecedented 2 years in a row.
Several Layouts in Hot Rod and Harley magazine.
It is an outstanding custom classic that took many years to design, engineer, and build.
This was Don’s personal car and a way to show the world his talent.
If you spend an hour looking at this car, you will keep finding things that you missed.
The roof is chopped 3”, the hood is extended and rolled, ’54 Ford grill, ‘53 Buick head lights, ’52 Ford front fender flairs,
’56 Packard tail lights, rear license plate surround made from a ’53 Chevy front bumper, ’75 Caddie steering column,
’75 Nova subframe that was crafted into the Mercury chassis.
Dependable 350 Chevy V8 with a 350 Turbo trans.
The side window moldings were one off hand fabricated with 16-gauge steel, then chrome plated.
The small side window trim was hand made from 3/8 solid brass and then chrome plated.
The very comfortable high end leather interior is a work of art all by itself.
