Up for auctionwith a lowreserve is a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR 7 project. The car came from the Pacific Northwest and is pretty solid with the exception of places that will be described further. While it isn'tvery pretty, this is an unaltered original Cougar. I am 99% sure it hasit's original drivetrain. Even the original transversemuffler single exhaust systemisstill on it. It has been off the road since 1979. It is currently not running and I have no idea if it will because I haven'ttried to start it and don't plan to. It is pretty straight with the exception of a fewwhiskey bumps. body gaps are goodand may even have some original paint on it.It has a clean title and bill of sale from last registered owner.
Body: Rustin front passenger floor pan. Likely from a leaking heater core. Rust (as shown in pictures)in passenger lower quarter panel. There is the typical rust (forcougarsand mustangs) where thefender aprons overlap. Very minor. The rest of the car is rust free as far as I can tell. There is evidence oflight collision in the front asone of the fender aprons has been replaced as well as the hood. There is no evidence of structural or frame damage.Thisappears to have been done a very long time ago. Only cosmetic.
Interior: It's all there but needs redone obviously
