This '56 Merc is equipped with a newly rebuilt 390CI Ford V8, kept cool with a custom built heavy duty radiator and matched to a later model 3 speed Ford automatic transmission. For creature comfort in the California heat, the current owner also added Classic Auto Auto Air air conditioning. The refreshed interior trim is a correct reproduction in factory yellow and gray, which offsets the black exterior very well.
