A beautiful numbers matching Grabber Blue 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spolier, with all the best original FOMOCO speed parts and only 46000 miles. Have checked the casting codes on block and heads and they suggest the motor was built a few months prior to the car, as was customary. Have not seen any stamped information on the block despite looking all over for it.. 429 Super Cobra jet, 4 barrell Holley, 4 speed close ratio transmission, oil cooler, Drag Pak car, 3.90 locker rear. New paint and restoration work 4 years ago by Duffys in Iowa, runs and drives very well. Plenty of power underfoot from the 429 Super Cobra jet, faithfully restored with the appropriate holley carb, oil cooler, ram air, and hard to find parts, all in working condition. All dash gauges work, have added a volt meter under dash for added security. Original interior, no carpet rips, or issues with headliner, one very small cut ( half inch perhaps) in side of drivers front seat. All belts in working order, you would probably want to switch out the rear ones as they are a little shop worn and tattered in some edges. The grabber blue paint is well done except there are two small bubbles on the roof, ide have to point them out to you for you to notice. All the trim is in good to very good shape, needing only a really good buff/polish to get them to a high shine. Magnum 500 rims with the correct wheel caps, on Firestone bias ply tires. Chassis recently redone, lubed and in great shape. New Flowmaster mufflers offer an exceptionally good sound. 4 speed works effortlessly with the close ratio gears. Underside has been cleansed and resprayed, with new bushings and heims where needed. No leaks or problems underneath, a small hose clamp on the powersteering lines needs to be replaced or monitored, it backs off occassionaly. What would I still work on? Ide take out the package tray and restore, the fabric on the top is torn in a small area. Someone picky like me would restore and repair the trunk a bit more, I was going to replace the gas tank and get to that end of the car this winter. I like it to look as original as possible, so I have never used radial tires on it, most would agree a nicer ride would be possible with radials. Please feel free to email any questions and Ill do my best to reply promptly, the reserve is set realistically and less than what Ive been told to ask for it from the national consignment shops.
