1973 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL

1973 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Additional Info:

A third owner 450SL from California that I purchased in November 2002. See photo of the advertisement ad that it was a perfect car back then! The car has not been registered since I bought it. 1973 was the last year of no catalyst convertor (cooler running). This was a European delivery car and I have all the paperwork though it's life. The front bumper and headlights were converted to the European model look in the 1980's. I have the original bumper and headlights if you would like them. Also the seat belts were converted to the reel type in the 80's. The car has the rear seat with no seat belts installed. The European soft rear spoiler on the truck lid is a nice add-on. The soft top is dark blue and is in good shape as with the rear window. The paint has some chips and one small bubble on the hood. No rust throughout the car! Interior is perfect with new coco mats. Has the typical blue dash cracking problems as shown in the photo. The car has been stored since 2002 in a warehouse and once a month I have driven it on the weekend. I have recently serviced the car and has new tires. Air conditioner is still R12 and works well. As shown it has a Blaupunkt Berlin radio on a stalk control. This was the radio to have in the 1980's! All tools, pare bulbs, ack and top removal tools are included. Two sets of keys are also included. I am downsizing my storage area so my cool car needs to leave.
