This 1962 Mercedes Benz Unimog, complete with a custom camper box, is truly the ultimate off-road camper. Its portal axles offer fantastic clearance, and the ultra-light fiberglass box in the back keeps the center of gravity low, making it ready to tackle any terrain.

The truck still boasts its original engine and transmission, which are in great shape and shift smoothly. There’s a power issue at the top end that needs a bit of troubleshooting, but it’s been cruising at highway speeds on several trips to the Uintas. The custom box in the back is both light and efficient, featuring excellent insulation, solar power, a wet bath with a cartridge toilet, sink, and stove, and a super efficient fridge. The bed jack allows a queen-sized bed to be tucked away during the day above the spacious table and bench setup, and at night, the table can be lowered to create a second sleeping area. I’m selling this because it’s just not the right fit for our family right now, and I hope it finds a home with someone who will cherish and enjoy it!
