1958 Mercedes 190-Series Additional Info:

This 1958 Mercedes 190SL roadster still retains the numbers matching engine and was the lucky recipient of a comprehensive restoration! The 1958 Mercedes 190SL (W121) was one of the best designed sports cars of all times. The body lines with pontoon fenders and flowing lines were taken from the fabulous 300SL, the peak of classic automobile design and performance. This particular car emphasizes true art form as a world class design, sports the low nose and wide grill set forth, a design that looks beautiful in the year 2025 as well as its great start in 1955. This is a great touring car with unibody construction, with a complete Atlanta restoration with the work done in 1996 to 1997. This car features all new correct fenders that were used, full bare metal process, just absolutely beautiful paint and body work. The floor pans are new as factory, with no signs of rust, the biscuit leather bucket seated interior is just stunning. The door panels are correctly covered in matching color, the dash is painted red as it should be, all chrome pieces around the dash are finished as new. The instruments are all restored, the original clock is there, it has a newer AM-FM radio with CD in the correct location. The magnificent, fully restored white steering wheel with the chrome horn trim ring is a work of high design, much effort was put into it being as new and correct. The original 1897cc 4 cylinder overhead cam engine is completely rebuilt, with 8.8:1 compression. This engine produces about 130 SAE horsepower with the Mikuni duel 2 barrel side draft carburetors have been fitted. Under the hood is a top #2 detailed street driven show. The correct black air filter is even correctly mounted, the floor mounted shift of the four speed transmission works perfectly and was not rebuilt recently as no need. The shift lever with white face is as factory, all suspension replaced, full bushings, shocks, seals, full braking system rebuilt. The biscuit Haartz cloth top and frame is extremely nice.
