1962 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Additional Info:

For sale is a 1962 Mercedes 220 that belonged to my grandfather. The condition is "ran when parked", it has not been started in a long time and will need significant TLC to get it running again, the very first thing is all four tires are unusable. It will certainly also need a new battery and some attention to the fuel system. The car has a lot of miles on it, more than 300,000 but had routine maintenance it's entire life and was a daily driver until my mother reached the point where she could no longer drive. All original black paint, red leather upholstery. inline 6-cylinder overhead cam motor with 5-speed manual column shift transmission. This car had a lot of care over it's long life, I have lots of records and documentation. It has been a part of my family since new and I would love to see it have a new lease on life. It has a clean title in my name, registered non-op. The car is far from perfect, but is a great start to restore a grand old machine. Please check out the pictures and feel free to ask questions. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY, THE CAR MUST BE TOWED. FULL PAYMENT REQUIRED BEFORE PICKUP USING EBAY PAYMENT SYSTEM. CHECKOUT MUST BE COMPLETED USING THE EBAY CARAMEL SYSTEM.On Feb-23-25 at 13:38:14 PST, seller added the following information:

2/23/25 Update Added many photos to show conditionNoted a smooth but significant dent in right front quarter panel, should be easy to fix, possibly paintless. Otherwise body is straight.

2/24/25 Update I added air to the tires and all four hold air, at least for a while. Should make trailer loading much easier. However, the tires should replaced before driving, they are not safe.
