Say hello to “Vera”! When I acquired this 250se Coupe from Florida in 2016 with 61k miles I replaced the oil & filter, transmission fluid & filter, all flexible brake hoses, column shifter bushings, coolant flush, and added Pertronix ignition to distributor. The Bosch mechanical injection pump had been installed out of phase so that was corrected. In 2017 I replaced the generator/regulator with an alternator (internal regulator), new BFG T/A Radial tires P225/60r14 (@ 61,715 miles). Due to sediment buildup a New Fuel Tank & Pickup/Sender unit, plus Fuel Pump were installed. The Differential was Serviced plus new, one piece, Flex Bellows and Front Pinion Seal installed. New Rear Trailing Arm Suspension Bushings were also installed. The Speedo, Tach, and Center Gauge Cluster were rebuilt by North Hollywood Speedometer and New Dimmer Switch installed. I also spent a whole weekend freeing up and lubricating the Heater and Vent Control Cables (above the radio). New outer Door Handles and Trunk Lock (with matching key), plus Door Mirror and Interior Light Fixture. The Chrome Accent Strips on the Grille were sourced ($500) and installed, along with a cool 60s Rally Badge. All Rollup Window Felt Guides and Rubber Seals were replaced and Regulators Serviced. The original Becker Gran Prix Tube Radio and Remote Amplifier were serviced and Bluetooth Receiver was installed. New dash Center Speaker installed. There were cracked 4” speakers mounted on the rear deck by the previous owner so I mounted New 5.25” Speakers to wood spacers below the deck. Also, the 4 speed Automatic Transmission was adjusted and 3 Position (kickdown) Solenoid was rebuilt (spare solenoid included). The Muffler was replaced with OEM Ansa unit. The car was apparently Repainted by the previous owner in the original Orient Red (or Maroon), and is in very good appearance. The Creme Leather Seats are in great condition, but the Door Pockets show some stains and wrinkling in the Leather. The Walnut Dash is in good condition but there is some wrinkling of the veneer on the instrument binnacle and a couple sections at the base of the windshield. Extra parts include a Glove Box insert, New Front and Rear Window Seals, extra Hub Caps and Wheel Trim Rings, OEM Fog Lights, and a few original parts that were replacedBeing a Florida car for most of its life there is no salt corrosion, but it appears that rain leaked into the car and there is rust where the driver’s seat bolts to the floor pan. Another section in front of the right rear wheel had rust and was completely removed and repaired by Han's German Car classic Mercedes body shop in North Hollywood.I was intending to keep her forever, but retirement plans have changed to moving overseas, so I’m reducing the collection. Vera runs beautifully and is very smooth on the highway. She starts easily but can take a few extra cranks if she's been sitting for a couple days (mechanical injection).200+ photos are available at icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B17Grq0zwGPgxhQ Plus cold start, driving, and door open/closing videos are near the end (or on YouTube, youtube.com/channel/UC91agbxLxbZqPweAtkK9dFA ).I welcome a personal inspection and test drive if you are near the Los Angeles area (or professional inspection if you want to have that done), contact me - Serious Buyers Only, please.
