The 1986 Model 420 SEL is an amazing Mercedes. The gold paint is all original has imperfections that a good buff would help. Keep in mind that it is a 30-year-old car. So there is some rust at the driver’s side front fender.The brown leather is in very good condition showing wear and tear in driver’s seat only. The seats are like a cushion and is comfortable driving. The carpets, headliner door panels and dash are all original and in very good shape. The wood is very glossy and dashboard is amazing. The Climate control AC does work.The original radio with AM/FM Cassette just needs to be reset by dealer because the battery was replaced.The power windows, sunroof and cruise control and central locking system works to finish off the luxury appointments in this car. Mechanically the car runs it was driven almost daily in any season by the woman of thehouse. It has been garage kept and only second family owners. It starts right up and drives smoothly. The car has newer tires, new brake line, battery, oil /filters changed and fluids like transmission and antifreeze. Its ready to go. The 420 SEL has power and makes this an amazing driving car. This is a dream for the collector or restorer that dreams of a classic luxury car.
