Vehicle Details

1985 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series 500SEC in Great condition! Everything is in great working condition or as shown/detailed below.

Gently used, mainly for weekends and date nights, this beautiful 1985 Mercedes Benz 500SEC coupe drives wonderfully. It's comfortable, reliable, economical and sporty. We are the 2nd owners and this car has been garaged or covered ever since.

Exterior is original. No accidents and no rust is apparent. There are 2 identical blemishes at the top of the hood near the windshield as shown in picture(s). Some slight discoloration on the bumper trim as shown in picture(s). Every so often, the rear driver side and passenger side chrome window trim "slightly comes up" in 1 identical spot so it just needs to be pushed back down into place. The electric side mirrors work properly.

Interior is original. All leather with wooden trim. There are some minor peeling of the wood trim shown in the photo(s). There is some cracking in the dashboard. There are some leather blemishes in the middle driver arm rest as seen on the photo(s). The sunroof stopped functioning several years ago and we no longer use it. The original radio works however it will irregularly go on/off randomly when turned-on. The driver side and passenger windows work but will sometimes get stuck down. We no longer use the driver side and passenger side front windows. The back seat driver and passenger windows are in proper working condition. The rear view mirror has 2 small zip ties holding the bottom together. It works very well. I do have a new genuine replacement but did not yet install it. The heater and front and rear window defroster works but the air conditioning runs but does not make it cold. The electric front and passenger seats work properly. There are driver side and passenger seat warmers which I've never tried to turn-on. The clock does not work but does light up. All dashboard and other controls are in working condition, including the electric retractable antennae. All seat belts work properly.

Engine runs great and has around 85,000 original miles! Oil changes around every 3,000-5,000 miles or every 3-6 months because it was not driven much since we have owned it. Just recently the odometer stopped working. The mph works but it is not tracking mileage. I have the last oil change from earlier this year which shows an earlier odometer reading, so it just stopped working recently. The mechanic said something needs to be replaced to make it work again.

Tires: We replaced them last year and it has been driven sparingly since installation. Full size spare tire with matching Brand New original genuine Mercedes Benz stock rim in trunk!

Optional: We have a couple extra items which may come with the vehicle. We may provide all service records and additional replacement parts which had not yet been installed or replaced.
