You are looking at a rare 1992 Mercedes S350 Turbo-Diesel that needs the following work to be a car that will be enjoyed for years to come.
I am a chief engineer on ships. Diesel engines are known for there reliability and widely used throughout the maritime industry,My friend who owns the car is a Mercedes Diesel specialist and has owned the vehicle for over 5 years now. The vehicle was puchased from a gentleman in Charlottesville, VA.
The W140 runs well. Once the center bushing has been changed, the car will run out perfectly. Totally amazing. One can see that the W140 was an over engineered handsome tank, built to last!
Here are the details.1. The motor was swapped with an 87 300 SDL, several years ago which only had 141000 miles on her. Anyone considering this ride knows the value of this motor. I do include the a sound clip of the motor.2. New oil pump.3. New oil pan.4. Brakes - new all the way around.5. Seats are in good shape.6. Tilt, telescopic steering, stereo all in fine order.7. AC works.8. Vanity lights work.9. New battery.10. Tires - Fair condition.
To do:A. The center bushing requires replacement and a new one is pictured in the trunk. You have to drop the drive shaft. My buddy is having back issues and has no lift and the primary reason for sale.B. Sunroof - needs repair.C. Flex pipe (expansion piece) - exhaust leak left hand side of engine needs repair.D. Odometer - stopped working (will offer as a TMU sale).E. Tint on one window needs replacement.F- Roof - weak paint on roof but car as you can see looks pretty awesome.G -Vacuum lines should be replaced.
