Mercedes-Benz never officially imported the G-Class Cabriolet to the United States, so this is a rare truck. It was originally fiTed with a naturally aspirated 300D five cylinder diesel 4 speed, but the original owner wanted some more power, so he had the dealer replace it with a new turbo 300D along with a 5-speed Getrag gearbox. The result is a Jeep killer that can go highway speeds all day long. It has hydraulic locking front, center and rear differenEals. It can be shi[ed and locked on the fly, just like the Pinzgauers that came from the same factory. This truck is well-known among US G-Wagen enthusiasts, and has a massive file of records that comes with it.
