About this classic: The third generation of the SL-Class, the R107, was introduced in 1971 and would become one of Mercedes-Benz's longest-running production series. Remaining on the company's roster through 1980, just under 66,300 units were produced. Luxurious accouterments included real wood accents, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Beneath the graceful hood was the model's first V-8 engine - a 4.5-liter unit with aluminum cylinder heads and a Bosch fuel injection system. Recently new spark plugs, rotor, distributor cap and spark plug wires. It runs good, yet it has a slight miss. I’ve replaced the thermostat and fan clutch to try to run it run cooler, and it helped. I have a new water pump not installed, buyer can have it. Black leather, wood grain.

Vehicle Details

The body is clean front to back. It’s been garaged so the paint is excellent with great shine. The interior is in good shape as you see in pictures.

In the trunk is the original hardware device that holds the hard top for storage.
