I am selling my 1992 Mercedes 300SL right-hand drive with only 59k original miles. Carfax clean. I have a clean clear New York title. A museum (Cayman Island Motor Museum) was built by a prominent businessman in the Cayman Islands. He had over 80 cars from his personal collection in this beautiful museum. My business is buying, selling, and repairing special interest cars (mostly Mercedes). I performed every service and made this Mercedes ready to enjoy. The 6-cylinder 3.0-liter M103 motor is in fantastic condition. The transmission shifts perfectly. The car runs at the proper temperature. It leaks nothing. I put on real AMG staggered wheels with brand-new tires. The 275/35ZR18 in the rear and 245/40ZR18 in the front make this car handle so nice. I like my cars ready to drive across the Country. including a new water pump, belt, belt tensioner assembly, upper strut mounts, viscous clutch fan, brake pads with a brake flush, tune-up, cabin/air filter, power steering filter, hood pad, wiper, modern radio (Bluetooth), oil change, coolant change. This car is very dependable. I would take it anywhere any distance. The car runs and drives just like a SL with low miles should. Included are the original Mercedes 8-hole factory wheels that were on it.
The power top functions properly. No leaking hydraulic rams. The top is a Gahh replacement top which is a very nice quality top. The video shows the top, roll bar, and windows operating. The parchment leather interior is in exceptional condition. The seats are soft and supple with a leather smell. The rear jump seat with seatbelts is a great feature. The wood is in great shape. The carpets, door panels, dash, etc. are in very nice shape.
The European headlights are all glass with no plastic framing. European provisions for the rear and front license plates. The rear license plate area is wider than the USA version. fender signals and orange on rear taillights are a few differences.The car has been repainted with the original signal red color. The outer shield shell of the exhaust is rusting but there are no leaks or noise at all. The front bumper down low has 2 cracks. The pictures and videos show it well.People love that this car was from a Museum in the Cayman Island as part of its history. I will miss this beauty for sure. I have the original books and the build sheet. I have owned it for about a year and I have decided to part with my beauty.International buyers are welcome. I will help every step of the way.
