For sale is a 1966 Mercedes 600 W100 SWB. It was owned by a gentleman in Silicon Valley for the last 40 years. He had passed away about 3 years ago leaving his wife this W100 and a Rolls Royce in the garage. His wife sold the house, and put both vehicles in a car storage warehouse. She got tired of paying the fees and decided to sell them. The vehicle is beautiful inside and out. The exterior is finished in the black over black leather interior.The interior of this vehicle is in great condition. Appears to be original and well kept. Odometer reads 28K which we believe is original. Exterior is in excellent condition. Paint is deep and glossy. It has been repainted many years ago, paint has no major scratch, dents or sign of any major accidents. This car is 100% rust free all throughout the car except for a small area on the passenger side quarter panel. No other sign of rust or even previous rust everywhere else. This car always sat in a garage, and was a CA car as long as we are aware. WATCH THE VIDEO AND SEE FOR YOURSELF. It is powered by its original LEGENDARY 6.3-liter M100 V8 Paired with its automatic transmission. We got the car running and driving. The motor fires right up, has plenty of power, does not overheat nor smoke excessively out the tail pipe. It needs good service of course due to how long it's been sitting. There is a mild ticking that comes and goes on the passenger side heads. But i drove it all around town for over 2 hours and it did not give me any issues and ran well. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. The suspension goes up and down just fine and for the most part all the hydropneumatic items are functioning. The trunk goes up, windows function, front and rear seats fully functional, the door actuators are working etc. Although it leaks hydraulic fluid from a door or two. Again, someone has to go through these things. My goal was just to get it back on the road so someone can see what's functioning and what needs work. Underneath the car it seems like someone did a lot of work not too long ago. All the bushing in the suspension almost looks new. And the cadmium on the hydraulic lines are very vibrant leading me to believe someone went through these things before it sat. With some TLC someone will have one rare vehicle on their hands.
