1975 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Additional Info:

This is a nice example of a hard to find car. This car has been stored at an indoor museum for about 14 years. I purchased it, and put it on loan to the museum, as I was working on a different car at the time. My intentions were to restore it fully at some point. I drove it for a month, and then put it into storage. The museum starts it about once a year to drive it outside for a show for a day, and then goes back in storage.
I honestly do not know what it will need to be a daily driver, this car has been sitting for a while, and I did not drive it much before putting it in storage. I do know it runs and drives, although the transmission was shifting slow. I did not look into fixing anything on it, as i knew it was going to be put in storage. Most importantly the body is pretty solid. Everything on the top of the car looks great, it has very few blemishes, and the paint still has its clear coat. There are some spots on the under body which have gotten rust, there is a hole under the passenger seat that will need to be fixed, but the rest of the underbody is pretty solid. I know the original becker radio worked when i drove it last, and the interior is in great shape, with a good headliner, seats and door panels.
I am going to try to get more photos of this car in the next couple weeks. If seriously interested in the car, I can tell you the museum where it is located, and you can view the car. I am having to travel a lot, due to an illness in the family, and I cannot get to the car until I get back into the state of North Dakota.
I have a clean title, in my name for this vehicle.
I will say its in better shape then most of the w115 cars, it is getting very hard to find them where they are not rusted out badly, and its getting harder to find them in any condition in the US.
I also will say that I honestly don't know much about the car, as i purchased it, and it went into storage, about 4 hours away from where I live. It has been sitting for a while, and may need work. I am trying to be honest in my description. I am also pricing it at close to what ones in similar condition have sold for, accounting for the fact that it hasn't been on the road in a while. This is a project car, and will be sold as is, where is. It runs, but I cannot put any kind of a warranty on a car this old.
I am unsure of the milage of this car, I do not know if the gauge is accurate, and as i would with any gauge this old, I am not going to state an exact milage. From the wear of the interior, which is light, I would guess it is less then 150,000
I hate to let it go, but I do not feel like I am going to have the time to restore this properly. I have gone through a lot to keep this over the years, the W115s can be great practical daily driving cars, and are extremely durable.
The buyer of this car will need to arrange shipping, and have it transported. The museum is open until the end of september, and it can be picked up there, in 58366
Any questions feel free to ask.
