1978 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Additional Info:
This is my 1978 300CD. 5-cyl. 3005cc/77hpDFI which is the famed W123 platform. The powerplant, while lacking power carrying the 3,400 pound car, is considered to be one of the most reliable engines ever built. The timeless design is sure to last as long as the car itself, making this car a classic that is here to stay. My maple colored car as an incredibly well kept all original example. I am the second owner and purchased it as an act of preservation. I purchased the car with 114K (barely broken in for this motor) and 8 years later it has 122K miles. For the most part it has sat in my office basement and in its lifetime has never seen a winter. I own a McLaren…my little buttercup gets more looks! While there are some slight blemishes on the original paint, rubber trim and chrome are in incredible condition. I’ve only replaced pads/rotors and repaired a fuel leak. It starts quickly every time and runs perfectly. The only issue with it is that it does not blow cold. However, compressor/heat are in fine working order. As is everything else.Asking: $10,300
