This particular car has been subject to a comprehensive restoration thatleft no part untouched. It was completely disassembled and the body sent out for mediablasting before paint and bodywork. The original numbers matching drivetrain was thenrefreshed and sealed to ensure no leaks or drips. All components, electrical andmechanical, were rebuilt and tested and work the way Mercedes intended. The interiorhas been completely refinished with new leather and chrome. He brought the car home when his tour was over and it remained in hispossesion until his passing. Having covered only 35,400 Kilometers meant this car was anideal candidate for restoration. It retains nearly all of its original sheetmetal, includingthe floorpans. Paint markings that were discovered during disassembly were recreated togive this car the extra detail to set it apart from most.
