1970 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Additional Info:

For sale is my 1970 Mercedes Benz 280se with the inline 6 cylinder. Car is in fantastic shape, tarts runs and drives exactly how it should, arm or freezing. Transmission shifts exactly how it should, ar does not smoke, nd always starts first try. Was fully restored in 2013, nd it shows. Brand new upholstery last week, rofessionally completed. Passenger and rear seats have never been sat on, actory quality upholstery. Headliner is in good tear free shape. All power windows work as they should, olumn shift, nd original Becker radio. Thick glossy paint looks absolutely fantastic. Chrome is in great shape all around. Carpets look new, nd I have pictures of underneath each seat when they were removed for prospective buyers. Currently riding on brand new Coker whitewalls, ut if you want to drive it around I'd suggest getting some radials from DiamondBack Classics. Cokers are more for show and don't really ride well at all. Happy to provide radials to the buyer.
Dash instrument panel was replaced during restoration, nd Mercury was let out of the old school temperature gauge, o it does not work. A common issue on these 108 chassis. My plan was to install a small aftermarket coolant temp sensor, ut never got around to it. Runs nice and cool as is. With the dash replacement came a unit with different miles. The dash shows 36,951 miles, nd Shouth Carolina makes vehicles this old mileage exempt on the title regardless. The paint after 3 years is still in fantastic shape, ut is not without imperfections. There is a small chip above the passengers rear wheel well, nd I have pictures of it. There are also 2-3 small pebble sized chips elsewhere, ut I would have to point them out. The ac compressor and associated systems work flawlessly, owever the pulley that redirects the accessory belt to the compressor has bad bearings. I have all of the hardware and old pulley to illustrate this. These would be about the only things keeping this car off pebble beach, t really is immaculate.
I'm sure I am forgetting a lot, nd please call or text me at 774 571 2407 with any questions, dditional pictures, r whatever you need.
