1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300CD pillar less coupe 2door Additional Info:
What you have here is a really nice 1985 Mercedes 300CD which was the last year for this model/style.
I'm a long time Mercedes Benz enthusiast and provide repair services on BMWs and Mercedes in my area. I'm an engineer in a paper mill full time and the car stuff is my hobby. I have purchased and sold many W123s on ebay over the years with much success. My goal in selling one on ebay is that there are no surprises when the new owner picks the car up. This is the first one I have listed in a few years and is probably the nicest I have presented to the ebay community. It is owned by a friend/customer of mine and I've been maintaining it for him since 2014. He has owned it about 6 years. Just ask if you have any questions and if I can't answer them I will find out. I can provide all maintenance records (excel spreadsheet) on it since 2014 and in talking with him he has a Carfax available from where he purchased it back then and other paper work that came with the car at that time. The power train is the California version and it is quite evident this car has never lived where it snows and they salt the roads. I can email the maintenance records (back to 2014) upon request. As shown in the photos the a/c was properly converted to r134 with a parallel flow condenser and a Sanden compressor. The air blows cold in the south Georgia heat.
The car start easy cold and drives runs out real good. I would not be concerned with driving this car across the country. The most recent work on it was replacement of the rear CV axles which was done a couple of months ago. The car uses no oil between oil changes and has received diesel rated full synthetic oil since 2014. I have attached pictures showing the hood hinge areas in addition to underside. The car is clean as a whistle with absolutely no rust anywhere. There are no blemishes nor wear areas on the dash, seats or door cards. There has been no expense spared in maintaining this vehicle and the owner has been meticulous maintaining the interior. The only blemishes, which I have tried to show in the pictures, is the clear coat is peeling a little on the passenger side, front of the trunk lid and you can see where there is an imperfection in front of the drivers side rear wheel. The tires show very little wear and the car drives/runs out straight down the road just as it should. You will not be disappointed in the performance nor looks of this fine piece of German engineering. Please email with questions and I will answer them as soon as possible.
$500 deposit via paypal upon purchase with the remainder paid upon or prior to pick up. If paying by check the check will have to clear the bank prior to delivery of the car and signing over of the title. If paying by cashiers check or money order the owner and new buyer will meet at the local bank to turn them into cash prior to signing the car over. Cash is always accepted.
It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to handle any shipping. The owner will assist with loading the car up if the new owner hires a hauler. Please ask questions prior to bidding and if at all possible try to come look at the car. You will not be disappointed.
The reserve is set at a low (for the vehicle) $6000. Please bid early and often if interested in buying. Thanks for looking/bidding.
