1994 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Additional Info:
I'm the third owner of this 1994 Mercedes Benz E 320 Cabriolet which I purchased in the summer of 2013. As can be seen on the odometer in the pictures, it has just over 151,000 miles on the drive train. I believe it's been a local CA car its whole life. This is a nice car for long distance driving or just touring around local scenic spots. I've driven it on several 1000 mile plus trips with no problems. It runs fantastic with no known mechanical issues. The body looks really nice with no known issues. Body, paint and interior are very presentable in nice daily driver condition. The convertible top has some fraying in the fabric and will need replacing eventually down the road but is perfectly usable as is for now. The power top is currently not working. I'm not sure if it needs fluid or if it's a fuse. The top went up under its own power the last time I used the car with the top down about 2 months ago. When I tried to lower the top again under power it would not move. No noise-no nothing. I have never tried to lower it manually nor will I because I don't know if that might damage something. I'm sure it could be raised and lowered manually but I'm older and I'm not attempting it. I have several cars so it's not like I use this one on a regular basis.Prior to this happening, I've never had any problem with the top working. I did try to look for a fuse to see if that would fix the issue since it seems like it would be a blown fuse because it happened so suddenly. But I couldn't find where it would be on the car. The buyer would be the one to try lowering it manually but I think the power issue should be simple fix unless the motor itself burned up and I can't see why that would have happened..The interior is in near excellent condition. The passenger side seat is missing the back rest release knob but it still works. I spent $2200.00 4 years ago going through the AC system and it still works great. I had the original MBZ stereo replaced with a Pioneer CD player. The original radio comes with the car. Registration expires January 2020.
Car is being sold AS IS/WHERE IS. Buyer is responsible for arranging a transport if not picking the car up in person. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION-TOP BIDDERS BUYS THE CAR!
Please feel free to ask questions at anytime during the auction. Waiting till after the auction ends is not the time to check if you have the money to pay for it or ask your wife's permission to go through with the deal. My wife said I can sell it so make sure your wife says you can buy it! At this time I'm not willing to consider lower offers. I took into consideration the cost of a power top repair, as well as, transport costs across country with a hired company when I set the price.
Thanks for looking!
