1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL 560SEL Additional Info:
I have for sale a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL. The Mercedes is Silver in color and has 99,915 miles on it. The miles are acurate with the original odometer. The Mercedes is in original condition with all the original parts except for tires and the brakes. Possibly the windshield may have been replaced and some point. The body is in excellent condition with no rust. It has never been left out at night nor has it ever been driven in the winter. The Mercedes has a couple of light scratches, one of those was from another car. Next to that scratch is a very small ding. That mark is in the back drivers side panel. There is also a small nick in the grill.
The interior of the Mercedes is in excellent condition as well. There are no cuts, rips, tears, stains, or fading. With this Mercedes not being in the sun, the burgundy interior has been well protected. There are a few foot scuffs on the door. The carpet and head liner are in wonderful condition as well.
There are a couple things that do not work. The clock has been at 2:00 for many many years. It either no longer works ot it has been disconnected. Also, the wipers for the lamps do not work as well. They could have been disconnected or I don't know how to operate them. But they do not come on when the windshield wipers are on.
Mechanically the Mercedes is absolutley wonderful. It still rides and drives like new. It Floats without a bit of noise. Super Tight! This Mercedes has been family owned since 1990. So all service records from 1990 will come with the Mercedes. We were told that it still has the original seals in the engine, and they should be replaced. We never got around to it. It does leak a few drops of oil every time we use it. I believe that we have only averaged 100 miles per year on the Mercedes in the last 20 years.
In order for this Mercedes to be in perfect showroom condition it would need a few things.
* A Complete Detail* The Body Needs to be Buffed* The Ding Taken Out by a Dent Doctor* The Rims Need to be Refurbished* It Could Use a New Under Hood Liner. The Original Has Deteriorated* The Engine Seals Replaced
All of this can be done for $1000 to $1500. Depending on where you live.
I know that there is much more to talk about. It is always best to have a conversation with interested parties. Anyone wishing to inquire more into the Mercedes may contact me on ebay, or may call or text me at 309-883-3643. Please allow me plenty of time to respond. I can set up times for viewings and test drives as well.
I am willing to entertain all reasonable offers. I am well aware of the book value of this Mercedes. The problem being is that the value is for loan value only, or what a financial institution will be willing to loan one for this Mercedes. I'm sure that interested parties know that this Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL is a rare model.
And Lastly. I will not require a deposit down. I also will not accept Paypal as a form of payment. Cash is the best. If you are wanting to pay by check that is fine, but I will hold on to the Mercedes until that check clears. And sometimes that can take up to three weeks. I will do my best to be available if a buyer wants to have it shipped.
I appreciate you viewing my listening. Thank you.
