Up for sale is my 1988 Mercedes 560SL.
I purchased the car four years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed this car. It is an absolute treat to drive, especially with the top down. Car is red, with the tan palomino interior. Drives nice, has about 106,500 miles and has a soft top in good shape and a matching red hard top also in good shape.
The car has been serviced regularly. I have performed the following (and more) since purchasing it:
Synthetic oil changes every 4K miles.
New bosal exhaust
Full tune up
Plugs, wires, drive belts, fluids
Valve cover gasket
Suspension parts including, tie rods, stabilizers, ball joints, bushings, the center drag link and more.
New hankook tires last summer.
Thermostat and some hoses and Coolant flushed.
Power steering hoses, fluid and filter
Air filters.
Some interior trim pieces.
A Bosch battery two years ago.
New wipers.
Shocks are fine.
8 cylinder runs strong and idles well- with attention given to timing
transmission cooler lines replaced
new horns
Soft top was replaced before I purchased it and brakes together with brake lines redone.
Hard top in good condition also included.
Transmission filter and fluid also replaced.
new air intake hose and more.
No expense has been spared. I am selling because I have a kid on the way and too many cars. That said it is a 30 year old car with appropriate wear . The paint is faded in some parts, it has a few minor rust spots on the body and could benefit from an alignment, a new windshield washer fluid reservoir (or just plug this one) and new arm rest cover (about $70 online). The interior is in decent shape and original- I had some trim pieces replaced. This is a great car you can either enjoy as-is or enjoy working on to improve. The car is being sold as is.
Highly collectible, get compliments all the time and collectors insurance is inexpensive.
