You are bidding on a 1979 MERCEDES BENZ 450 SL CONVERTIBLE NO RESERVE AUCTION.The power plant consists of a 4.5 liter, V-8 engine coupled to an Automatic transmission. This MERCEDES BENZ drives and handles very well. There is no hesitation from the engine under power and when the brakes are applied firmly, the car stops in a straight line. There are no fluids leaking from either the engine or transmission. The car is finished in a Dark Brown color that shows in good condition. All of the external lenses, chrome moldings and glass surfaces are present and intact without any cracks, pits or broken pieces except for the windshield that shows a star shaped chip not visible on the photos. The lighting and electrical systems are in proper working order with the Air conditioner that blows but not cold and may need a recharge. The passenger cabin is in good condition. The seating surfaces, carpets, headliner, Canvas Soft Top are in good condition without any rips or tears. The entire under carriage shows dry free of rust.
