1988 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series Additional Info:
1988 MERCEDES BENZ 560 SEC COUPE W126The Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC was an S-Class pillarless coupe from the W126 series and one of the predecessors of the CL-Class. They were exclusive long-distance vehicles designed to offer safety, ride comfort and generous space for two persons and their luggage. It introduced many Mercedes-Benz safety innovations, including the first seatbelt pretensioners.
This 1988 Mercedes 560SEC spent many years in Southern California where it was used as a daily driver. It was garaged in Rhode Island for 9 years before moving to Florida in 2010. Since then it is only taken out on sunny days and driven just a few hundred miles a year. The car comes with good service history including a suspension rebuild along the way. All service work was done by a Mercedes dealer or Mercedes specialist using only Mercedes parts. The records go with the car. Other than a professional respray in the 1990s, the car is all original.
It runs and drives beautifully, as a big S Class should.
