Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this extremely attractive 560 SEC pillarless coupe. This mostly original paint, rustfree, accident-free car was purchased from the state of Utah from it's recent lady owner. This car is finished in arguably one of the prettiest color schemes for these cars and other period Mercedes models of the era.The body and paint on this car are very well-preserved for such an original car, wearing it's original coat of factory applied paintwork. There has been a few touched-in chips around the car from normal use. There are a few paint spots on the roof panel that are showing some wear. The rest of the car looks very good overall with plenty of gloss and clearcoat. Brightwork and glass is excellent. Bumpers are nice with minimal marks.The car's interior is in great condition showing all factory original materials in excellent to superb condition, even including the factory floormats. Seat leather is excellent front and back showing very minimal wear. The dashboard top is perfect. Headliner is nice with a perfectly operating sunroof.Mechanically the car's engine and gearbox behave absolutely beautifully, with a now perfect idle. The car drives well. We have just spent over $3000 performing a major engine service, resealing of the intake manifold, new ignition system, new vacuum hoses, smog valve, fuel regulator, etc. The car could still benefit down the road from shocks, tires, brakes, AC recharge but all of the hard/expensive specialist work has been done.Overall, a beautiful and well-preserved 560 SEC in great colors, these pretty 80's Coupes are now gaining some ground in the classic Mercedes car market and are a good bet going forward.
