1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SE. This is a good example of the nearly bullet proof 70's S-Class Mercedes. This one is the slightly smaller (shorter wheelbase) version of the S-Class, with the same engine, the 4.5L V8. Since it is a 1973, it is the last of the smaller Euro-version of the bumpers which is much cleaner IMO.
This particular example is overall in very good shape. Nearly rust free, except for small bubble in the drivers front fender (see picture) and drivers side rocker panel (pic). Rest of the body is in good shape, straight body panels, decent paint, and clean. Car starts right up, runs, shifts, and drives nice. Windows, sunroof, power locks, heating and a/c (though not cold) all work. This is an great car to just drive and enjoy. Additional flaws: seats are very dry and cracked, front seats need recovering and stuffing. Kits are available here on eBay and fit well. Windshield is cracked, needs carpet though non-OEM carpet is installed. Hood release inside is vice grip repaired. Not bad fora 45yr old classic.
This would be a great car to do some TLC and just drive it. Selling at NO RESERVE. Sold as-is, title in hand, international buyers welcome HOWEVER please be able to do bank to bank wires.
