1988 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Additional Info:
2nd owner. Only 50k miles! Matching Vins true classic. Ivory in color. In addition to the pictures I have posted 5 videos on youtube with links below so you can see every aspect of the car.
Drives so smooth and starts every time. You have to drive this to believe how great it is. I spent 10 years waiting to find this car (bought about 3 years ago) and spent the last 3 years babying it. Could be a daily driver, but not if you want to keep the miles low like they are.
Garage kept. I am about $40k into this car with over $15k into it the last two years to make it pristine and keep this original -have receipts for everything. Brand new exhaust, brand new air conditioning (converted to required R34 AC, new compressor, all new tubing and vacuum sealed - blows cold!), new convertible top (brown), added brand new leather back seats and have original back/first aid kit that can be put back, weather stripping replaced on 80% of car. All new rubber seals on hard top that is In great condition - top rack and cover included. Car and top covered and in my pristine garage except for the occasional Sunday drives. In addition, replaced multiple parts that wore out over the years ($5k+) as I am a stickler for a perfect driving car. Have receipts.
The color of this 560SL is one of it's best features. So classy. Gets looks every time I drive it. The car appears to have the original paint (definitely original OEM color) which is in remarkable condition considering it's 30 years of age - no pealing or cracking and it waxes out super smooth and shiny. A few small paint chips on the car that are barely noticeable (more like a 5 year old car than a 30 year old car). I do have the matching touch up OEM paint but I tend to like the original look when in this good of shape. Some tiny dings - too small to see in pics (less then you'd expect on a classic car). I included a picture of the front lower fender that has a small crack in it - this is very typical on low cars like this one. Pretty minor in my opinion, but I am a very honest seller and want you to know everything about this 560SL. The seats are original, comfortable and have no tears. Seats show some cracking from age (see video), but keep them moist with conditioner and they will continue to last. Dash/Console are the best I've seen on any 560SL. Original Becker radio in great working condition.
Title In hand. Carfax and all sources confirm original mileage and no accidents. Recently waxed (twice in the last month).Car is also listed locally. Sold as is, so please ask any questions you have. I am an honest seller and do my best to represent the car as it is. I welcome inspections by you or a 3rd party prior to the listing closing.
