450SL Convertible with Hard Top & Soft Top

1980 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series SL Roadster Additional Info:

This 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Roadster is ready to enjoy. All options work as they should & the car runs & drives great. This SL was originally delivered new to Canada. All the manuals are in French. Please see the list below of all recent repairs & cost of the parts (does not include labor). I kept all original parts & parts removed for upgrades. I have known this particular SL for almost 25 years. I purchased it & completed all work below with the intentions of keeping it long-term. Unfortunately plans change sometimes so I want this SL to go to a great home & be driven & enjoyed for many years.
The biggest upgrade completed is the removal of the outdated Climate Control Servo unit & replacement with a modern electronic control box. The Climate Control works great including ice cold A/C. The only issue I have noticed is when you press the accelerator to the floor for fast acceleration the fan & compressor will turn off until you start releasing the accelerator. I was told it could be a minor vacuum leak as vacuum pressure controls everything on these cars but after several days of checking & using a vacuum hand held pressure gauge, I couldn't find any major leaks.
There are 4 minor issues that didn't bother me enough to worry with but I want to mention for full disclosure.1. Minor wear on driver's seat exterior bolster (see picture)2. Minor power steering fluid leak from power steering box (leaves a spot the size of 2 quarters when parked)3. Minor wear spot on bottom trim of soft top from normal operation4. The hard top wasn't repainted when the rest of the car was in early 90's & is slightly noticeable
I have extra parts that are included along with the hard top cover & full car cover. All books & manuals are included as well as 2 factory keys.
